ABOUT MALI LOSINJ…

Town, port and tourist center on the island of Losinj, on the southeastern part of a spacious and well-protected bay is Mali Lošinj. The largest town on the island with their 7000 inhabitants and the best known sports and fishing center on the Adriatic. The economy includes agriculture, fishing, shipbuilding and tourism. Mali Losinj has a long tourist tradition that goes back to the 1880s. The area has a beautiful shoreline surrounded by a rich coniferous forest. The mild climate is suitable for health tourism.

Many dolphins live in the surrounding waters, therefore, the island is very attractive for dolphin lovers. Accommodation is available in hotels, pensions, apartments and camping sites. The sports and recreational offer includes tennis, mini-golf, bowling, windsurfing and diving. The restaurants serve local and international specialties. Boat trips and excursions are also available.
The most interseting beaches on island are Čikat, Sunčana uvala and Valdarke. Tourists are very interested to see them is summer time when houndreds of people come to see the beauty of island and spend their vacation.
The island is connected to the mainland by ferry lines to Pula, Rijeka, Zadar, Brestova in Istria and Valbiska on the island of Krk.
